Treasure Hunt 6-24-11

OK so it’s been awhile since I recorded anything about treasure hunts, etc. I’m thinking I need to re-start writing down testimonies and sharing them again...

So today I just decided to do a quick Treasure Hunt after lunch. Took my list to “WalMart,” the location I had written on my treasure map. Walked in the door, got to about the third checkout aisle, and found the first treasure on my list.

First Clue: “couple with stroller—25-30y.o., man has a black shirt, girl has a white shirt.”

I also had the clue “Giants” in my unusual category, and the guy’s black shirt happened to be—yep, the SF Giants and said “Giants” really big on the front. I asked his name and he said it was Richard—I had “Rick” as the name on my list. This guy was tripping out! Anyway, neither of them had any need for healing, or anything else they could think of, so I just told them how much God loved them and how He wants to bless them, and really has His eyes on them and cares about every detail of their lives.

Next, I walked down about 5 checkout aisles and found my second treasure.

Clue: “girl with straight, shoulder length brown hair, black shirt, blue jeans, and black, low-top Vans.” Her name was Tara, and she said that she had been found as a treasure once before! Nice! So she was stoked and open. She was only in her early twenties, but has Diabetes, with an insulin administering thing attached to her body as we spoke. So she asked for prayer for that, and of course I ministered to her. Couldn’t check anything about diabetes on the spot, so just blessed her and continued on…

Then I walked to the back of the food section and found my next treasure.

Clue: “Guy with dark blue T-shirt with large white block letters on the front.”

His dark blue T-shirt said “AIR FORCE” across the front in white block letters. I talked to him a minute and when it came time to see what he needed prayer for, he said he had lower back pain—a 7 out of 10 on the pain scale—from a pinched nerve. I prayed and commanded healing to come. Saw no immediate breakthrough when he tested it out; and he was kind of in a hurry, so I didn’t want to keep pressing at the moment. Believing for God’s power to continue working in his body.

Praise God. 30 minutes and God showered His love on 3 people while I bought my Ziploc sandwich bags! Thank you Jesus.
